HR graduates analysed barriers to female leadership

A voluntary research team of MSc Human Resource Management graduates from UCD Smurfit School of Business has assisted WoW in its research activities.
They had all reviewed the topic of barriers to female leadership for their dissertation for the Master’s qualification in 2015. A few months after they completed that dissertation, WoW asked that they update that work and help us to craft and analyse surveys conducted with mentees, mentors and sponsors for the WoW programme.
Under the management of Patricia Doherty, the WoW founder who had a lead role in our research activities, the research team reviewed and analysed a wealth of academic and other authoritative sources on female leadership. Their particular focus was on the barriers to female leadership. This work was the foundation for #WomanUp, an action plan on female leadership.
